Ambassador Roman Popadiuk Meets with Ukraine Ambassador Motsyk
Ambassador Roman Popadiuk, the U.S. Chair of the Business & Economics Task Force of the Ukraine-2020 initiative, met with Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., Olexander Motsyk, on October 6, 2010.
Ukraine 2020, an initiative of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation in Washington and the Pylyp Orlyk Institute for Democracy in Kyiv, is designed to support Ukraine's European integration which President Yanukovych has declared as a priority goal for Ukraine.”
Participants at the meeting included Nadia K. McConnell, President of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, and David Rigsby, representing UMBRA LLC and a participating member of the Business & Economics Task Force.
The discussion focused on a wide range of issues concerning Ukraine-U.S. relations and the European integration of Ukraine.
Ambassador Motsyk expressed his appreciation for the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation’s contribution to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, as well as its long-standing support of Ukraine’s European aspirations.
All agreed to work together on relevant projects on the Ukraine 2020 agenda to facilitate economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S.
