During a recent visit to Washington, Borys Tarasyuk, a former Foreign Minister of Ukraine and current member of Parliament spoke at an off-the-record gathering at the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation. The discussion, held on January 24th and attended by Ukraine experts and Ukrainian community members, focused on U.S.-Ukrainian relations, Russia’s hybrid war in Ukraine and related security issues, the continuing battle with corruption, economic and land reforms,  and next year’s presidential election in Ukraine.  Borys Tarasiuk served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 1998-2000 and again in 2005-2007.  He is currently deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs and a member of the Fatherland Party, headed by Yuliya Tymoshenko. Mr. Tarasyuk also serves as the director of the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, a Kyiv-based think tank..
