LEGACY GIFT FOR USUF!
The U.S.-Ukraine Foundation announces that an extraordinary large planned gift has been executed by an anonymous donor for the future benefit of the Foundation.
The current value of the donor's estate, which will be provided to the current beneficiary (U.S.-Ukraine Foundation) at the time of the donor's passing, is approximately $750,000.
The donor has been supporting the Foundation for over 10 years and continues to make annual contributions for USUF programs and operations.
The Foundation's Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, John A. Kun, reported the following:
"This is a critically-important step in the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's future program and operational development. While we grow our current programs for Ukraine by securing the financial support of an increasing number of donors through our annual giving campaigns, we also need to develop financial sustainability and donor confidence for the future. I believe this planned gift, truly a legacy gift by a Foundation friend and supporter, will inspire others to reflect on their future legacy for Ukraine and encourage them to commit a part of their financial estate toward the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's work in support of a free and democratic Ukraine. This is my hope for our shared, future mission."
Creating a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support for Ukraine through the work of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation. Many times this can done through the transfer of stock, or a gift of life insurance or 401k proceeds, or the sale of real estate, or a final bequest through a will.
