Dr. Donald N. Jensen is Senior Advisor, Center for Russia and Europe at the United States Institute of Peace and an Adjunct Professor at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Johns Hopkins University. A former US diplomat, Don has had numerous government positions where identifying and understanding Soviet and then Russian disinformation has been critical.  One such position was as Associate Director of Broadcasting and head of the Research Division at RFE/RL where he helped lead that organization’s expansion into new broadcast regions after the end of the Cold War and the adaptation of multimedia technology to deal with the broadcasting challenges of the 21stCentury.


Luigi Sergio Germani is the scientific director of the Gino Germani Institute of Social Sciences and Strategic Studies. An expert on Russian domestic and foreign policy, with a focus on hybrid warfare strategies, organized crime, and Russian intelligence services. He also specializes in the study of intelligence and its role in protecting democratic states. He organized the first open conference on the matter in Italy, 'L’intelligence nel XXI secolo' [Intelligence in the 21st Century] in the Priverno Castle in February 2001 which was attended by the world's leading experts in the field. He also conceived and organized the first conference in Italy on disinformation as a threat to national security in 2015. He was one of the first scholars in Italy to introduce the study of intelligence and national security in academia, heading several university master courses on the subject.  He has written articles and essays and edited several books on these issues.
